Aidan dreams of being a true warrior, loyally fighting for his king and country, Corenwald. But he is twelve, small, a shepherd, and the youngest fo the five sons of Darrow, who was a great soldier.
One day while Aidan is tending the sheep, he hears the sound not many hear, the bark of the bog owl.
This story is a parallel to the story of David, execpt that it's Lousiana backwoods meets Medievil times meets American history. AMAZING book, my whole family loved it! -Liv
